Distance Covered:

Heavy rain in the morning but it cleared a little and was dry by the time I got on the water at 2pm. Four metre weather again - three times in a row which is amazing for inland locations. Unfortunately I took out my 5.3 metre Aerial because there were some big holes in the wind and Windguru showed it dropping off. The lulls were fine but the Aerial was just too powerful in the gusts, even with masses of outhaul. After battling for an hour I changed down to my 4.7 metre Warrior which was much more comfortable, although 4 metres would have been enough in the lengthy gusts.

Chop was not huge, but great for jumping as the gusts allowed you to sail at right angles to the ramps. One guy was getting some huge floaty jumps. I seem to be landing nose first which is a little worrying - must try sheeting out. Chased off the water at 4.15 by the safety boat. Not a bad session, not at all cold, and the rain held off.
